Sridevi Baskaran is one of the visionary founder of ELCA – where empowered living and compassionate aging come together. With a strong foundation in psychology, elder care, and counseling, she brings both heart and science into every aspect of senior support.
Her passion for nurturing seniors stems from personal experiences caring for aging family members — a journey that inspired her to create a space where medical needs, emotional well-being, and human connection coexist seamlessly.

Meet Dhinakar Perumal
Founder – Managing Director
Educational Foundation
Born in 1977, Dhinakar pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore (1994–1998). He later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through a part-time, in-class program at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts (2002–2006).
Professional Journey Abroad
He began his career as a Java programmer in 1998 and moved to Boston in 2000 to join Evergreen Investments, a Wells Fargo subsidiary. There, he progressed from a software developer to a business analyst and software architect, working directly with portfolio managers. He earned several certifications, including Sun Certified Java Architect, and was sponsored by the company to complete his MBA.
Entrepreneurial Ventures
His passion for innovation led him to co-develop ESOp – Echocardiography Study Optimizer, a software tool for cardiac diagnostics that was patented and sold successfully.
While in the U.S., he also launched businesses in India:
- Evergreen Nest Ladies Hostel, Coimbatore (2002–2022): Awarded Best Hostel for exceptional service. Later converted into an assisted living facility.
- Devi A/C DTS Movie Theatre, Nagapattinam: Transformed into the town’s first air-conditioned, modern theatre.
Return to Roots and Real Estate Ventures
In 2010, he returned to India to care for his ailing mother. Alongside managing existing ventures, he entered real estate development and founded NNRC – Nirmala Nilayam Retirement Community in 2017, a premium retirement villa project designed with comfort and care in mind.
Founding ELCA
In response to the growing need for quality elder care in India, especially after the pandemic, he established ELCA Elder Care Private Limited in 2022. Evolving from his hostel venture, ELCA now provides holistic assisted living services in Coimbatore, with plans for expansion.

At ELCA, his vision is to build communities where elders live with dignity, safety, and emotional well-being. His blend of personal values, international experience, and entrepreneurial drive continues to shape ELCA as a trusted name in elder care.
